As part of our annual Community Week, Euromonitor staff had the opportunity to work closely with our Charity Partner Octavia Foundation. Two teams from our London office took over the running of Octavia Foundation’s Brompton Road and Victoria charity shops on the 11th of February and competed to take most sales in-store on that day.

Both teams brought great Valentine’s Day-themed energy and fun to the challenge for amazing results and I am delighted to say that both teams together raised over £2,397 through the till on the day - a huge sum of money that will help Octavia Foundation reach more people in the local community. This is without the extra £550 raised through raffle tickets and a bake sale at our offices, which Euromonitor CSR Team will match – adding an extra £1,100 for the Foundation to spend on their projects.

The best part is…we all had fun and spent a great day testing our love of all things vintage and honing our direct selling skills all for a good cause!

A special thanks to all our sponsors who through their generous donations helped make that day a great success!

Octavia Foundation connects people affected by unemployment, ill health, social isolation or low incomes in central and west London with opportunities for positive personal change. Their vision is to build stronger, happier and healthier communities to help create an enriched life.

Euromonitor International has committed to invest 1% of its sales to charitable giving as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme and gives each of its employees two days’ worth of volunteering time per annum, for individuals to spend on causes close to their heart.
