GEA’s PowerPak machines use an improved heating system that allows for more easily recyclable plastic monomaterials – such as mono polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) – to be used instead of composite materials, which had been a challenge for the industry up to this point.
Over the forecast period, a number of smaller pack sizes are expected to increase their share in processed meat and seafood packaging, including 57g, 113g and 227g. These pack sizes offer a convenient and manageable amount of product for consumers, especially for individuals or smaller households.
