Historically, Israel has seen a very quick recovery from war and security incidents. This is partly due to the fact that demand to travel to Israel is strongly supported by religious tourism, with Israel being home to sacred sites for all three Abrahamic religions.
While tourism is already very low, Israel has decided to implement a system that means that visitors from countries that do not require visas will need to obtain electronic travel authorisation before entering the country. The system was due to be implemented from June 2024 for the US and Germany and to be extended to all visa-exempt countries by August 2024.
